Ranch Roping of the Vaqueros vividly explains the roping techniques of the Vaqueros.

Description

Ranch Roping of the Vaqueros vividly explains the roping techniques of the Vaqueros. The unique Reata Roping was originally developed by Mexican cowboys (Vaqueros) who took this knowledge north to the United States. This method of roping makes it possible to catch cattle in different situations in a controlled and safe way with shots that are adapted to the situation and skillfully thrown.

For several decades Alfonso Aguilar has been intensively engaged in the art of roping both in Mexico and in the United States and is a master of his trade. The welfare of horses and cattle is always his top priority. On this DVD, he conveys his profound knowledge in this field, giving beginners, but also all those who want to deepen their knowledge, a good and interesting insight into the art of roping.

The Basics: In this DVD you will learn the basics of vaquero roping. The content includes first steps in handling the rope for a safe and sensitive approach. Explanations on how to build up different throws like head or heel shots are shown on both a dummy and a cow, always bearing in mind the concept of friendly horsemanship that distinguishes Alfonso Aguilar. Bonus material includes roping demonstrations of different throws and unique horsemanship presentations.
