Balancio – Edition Leonie Bühlmann
Balanced Horseman Shop’s multifunctional bridle that combines 5 different modes of action and makes it versatile.
- Kappzaum (ring in the middle of the nose strap)
For the function as a snaffle-bridle, the bithangers must be ordered separately, they are not included!
You can find the bithangers in the category “Bridles / Equipment” -> “Balancio” → Bithangers
The cavesson is an important basic equipment for working on the ground, on the lunge or for academic work in hand.
Using the bithanger function, it is possible to strap a bit into the Balancio so that it acts as a snaffle. In this case, the reins can now be buckled into the bit or combined with the bit and bitless.
The caveçon is a highly effective tool for improving the pliability and flexibility of the horse when a bit is not used. It can be used for riding, lunging and ground work.
The sidepull offers the rider the possibility of increased lateral action, especially when working at the base. These aids are easy to understand for most horses. For this reason, we also recommend the sidepull as a bridle for changing to bitless riding.
The guide ring on the chin makes it easy to use this Balancio as a halter, for instance, it is very suitable for leading a led horse or as a trail riding halter.
Balancio has a narrow noseband. The noseband is padded with soft leather, which provides a comfortable feeling even with a small contact surface even for the horse’s sensitive nose. In addition to the noseband, the neck strap at the back of the horse’s ears is padded with neoprene-filled soft leather.
The small D-rings provide a finer signal for advanced lessons.
Thanks to the special fit and the adjustment possibilities on both sides, both the jaw joint and the eyes stay free from contact with the metal buckles.
Leonie trains her horses according to the principles of classical horsemanship. An integral training of the horses is of great importance to her. She attaches as much importance to adequate training as she does to working with osteopaths and other specialists.
In addition to the classical work at hand, Leonie Bühlmann has produced an instructional DVD, which explains and introduces her work with different horses at different levels of training, from basic to advanced lessons. In 2017, the documentary won the award for “Best Educational Film” at the Equinale Horse Film Festival.
