Marie Heger is an equine behavior trainer and qualified actress who stands for sensitive and horse-friendly communication. Her aim is to communicate with the horses with as much freedom and independence as possible from mechanical influence.
She has long-standing experience in the training and therapy of young horses, correction horses and horses with behavioral disorders (across all riding styles).
In addition, within the scope of her teaching activities at the IVK and in her courses both at home and abroad, Marie conveys her idealistic thoughts in order to make the equine world more harmonious and appropriate for both man and horse. Besides the therapy and prophylaxis of behavioral disorders in horses, her main focus is on the relationship between man and horse on the ground and in the saddle. To achieve this, she draws on her experiences from her studies and her work as an actress.
Her main focus, whether in equestrian sports or in leisure riding, is the transfer of knowledge about the behavior of horses and humans on a scientifically up-to-date level. Her documentary “Feel free to ride Liberty” was awarded “Best Educational Film” at the Equinale in 2019.
